Terms of use
Last updated 7 October 2026
1. Who we are
FamSignal is operated by Amrit. FamSignal Ltd, a company being registered in England and Wales (registered office: Anglings Farm, 15 Rearsby Lane, Gaddesby, LE7 4XF), will take over once it is registered, and we will update these terms then. You can contact us at hello@famsignal.co.uk.
These terms cover the FamSignal app at app.famsignal.co.uk. How we use personal information is explained in our privacy notice at famsignal.co.uk/privacy.
2. This is a free beta
- The app is an early version, offered free to families we invite. Nothing is charged during the beta.
- Features may be added, changed or removed while we test it, and the app may sometimes be unavailable or have mistakes. Please tell us when something looks wrong.
- If we offer paid plans in future, we'll tell you first. Nobody pays anything without choosing a plan.
- We may end the beta. If we do, we'll give you notice by email where we reasonably can. If you don't continue after it ends, we'll delete your family's account 30 days after the end, and we'll email you first.
3. Who can use it
- The app is for parents and carers aged 18 or over, living in the UK. Children don't have accounts.
- Each family has one account. Other adults in your household can be added with their own email address: ask us at hello@famsignal.co.uk.
- During the beta, only families we've invited can sign in.
4. Your account
- You sign in with your email address and a code we send to it. Keep access to that email secure, and don't share your codes.
- You're responsible for what happens in your family's account. If you think someone else has access, email us straight away.
5. What the app shows you
- FamSignal suggests activities, places and useful information for families, taken from providers' own websites and booking pages, councils and other public sources. We check what we add, but details such as times, prices, ages and availability can change without notice.
- Always check with the provider before you go. Bookings, payments and attendance are between you and the provider. We don't run the activities, and we're not responsible for them.
- Distances are measured from the postcode you give us, in a straight line or by road, and are only a guide.
- Links to other websites are for your convenience. We don't control those sites.
6. Safety
- You decide what's suitable for your children, and you're responsible for supervising them.
- Product recalls and safety alerts come from official sources such as GOV.UK. Always follow the official notice and the manufacturer's instructions.
- Nothing in FamSignal is medical or professional advice. In an emergency, call 999.
7. Using the app fairly
Please don't:
- try to access another family's account or information, or get round our security;
- copy or scrape the app's content in bulk, or overload the service;
- use the app for anything unlawful, or put anything offensive or unlawful in it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law stops us.
8. Leaving
You can stop using the app at any time. To delete your family's account and everything in it, email hello@famsignal.co.uk and we'll confirm when it's done. If nobody in your family signs in for 12 months, we'll delete the account, and we'll email you before we do.
9. Our responsibility to you
- We provide the app with reasonable care and skill, as a free beta.
- We're not responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably foresee, for providers' activities, services or websites, or for decisions you make based on information that has changed since we checked it.
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. If you don't agree, you can leave at any time.
11. The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If there's a dispute, you can take it to the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, the courts where you live.
